GREEN YOUR ROUTINE Beauty Resolutions

Surprise! We talk a lot about beauty here at JMC. So as the year comes to an end, a lot of our lunch conversations have revolved around what’s to come for us in the New Year. We’re all hustling to get a ton of new products ready for our Argan Beauties, tweaking them to perfection and thinking a lot about how to make our community even stronger. But we’ve also been thinking about what we can do in our personal lives to make things a little more beautiful. Here are some of our beauty resolutions for 2013.

More Me Time. Being selfish isn’t as easy as it sounds. We’re a pretty diverse group here at JMC—some of us are parents, some are spouses, some are the friends who always seem to be holding someone up. And all of us are fiercely devoted to our jobs. While juggling all of our different roles and responsibilities, it’s easy to forget to take a little time to nurture ourselves. We’ll be working hard to take a little bit more “me time” in 2013. Restorative yoga and meditation, here we come!

Use Less. As beauty junkies, it can be easy to load up on a ton of products, half of which go unused. In the spirit of consuming less, we’re going to try to pare down to just our must-haves, and get double-duty from multitaskers like 100% Pure Argan Oil, which acts as the perfect moisturizer for face, body, and hair.

Spread Love and Light. What are we without the ones we love? In 2013, we’re going to make the most of each interaction with our loved ones, and do more to strengthen our relationships. We’ll put away our phones and really listen. Being present in the moment will help us give our friends, family, and coworkers the love they deserve—even if we only have a few minutes!

What are your beauty resolutions for 2013 and how can we help?

An eyeliner that is an "everyday" color, most men don't like the "smokey eye" and I really don't either, except for special occasions. Beauty is within us, and make-up is wonderful, but mostly to enhance what God already gave me (smiley), and I know a lot of women must agree with this??? Everyday, daytime, etc., I'm not reaching for blacks and dark colors, especially in my make-up, so in the spirit of keeping it more environmentally, attracting and keeping a good man (we can do that without make-up can't we, ESPECIALLY with Argan Oil in the mix lol) and feeling good about yourself when you go through your day, easy, approachable, simple beauty that looks good in natural sunlight is the best :D! It seems, like when you broke the mold on the hundreds of shades of foundations thing, this would be a good chance to break the mold on the beauty industry telling us, it's bare face or glam, I may buy something, but then I'm cleaning it out and giving it away to my niece, and thank goodness the eighties are back in style a bit so she can use some of the shades, because frankly, I don't, and once I use an eyeliner especially, for contamination reasons, I won't share it, it will just get thrown out when it goes bad, and it's full or near full...and I've only used it twice!!!

Josie the rebel, help create lighter colors, ones that can multi-task as eyeliner, eyeshadow, and maybe even for some people, eyebrow definers as well (depending on their hair color) lol.

sos, xox, lol

P.S. Just thought of this, in the spirit of only going "glam" occasionally and being more environmentally (and budget) friendly, have the "glam" shades in mini's!!! Mini kits, mini singles, that way there's much less waste.

Just my thoughts, thank you!

sos, xox Happy New Year!!!

I just reviewed my beauty items, renewing for 2013 and realized what it's missing, a great, hydrating, rejuvinating, moisturizing facial masque! Argan oil infused, maybe also some rice in it (chemists and PD will know best) Winona LaDuke and the Native Harvest wild rice maybe, or organic citrus ingredients. Maybe one invigorating and rejuvinating, and another one that is calming and soothing, Moroccan tea ingredients, lavender and others.

The days of a wonderfully effective and beutiful treatment facial masque (because of all the awful chemicals, acids and peels, etc.) have really gone away, I think there's some clay in the cleansing bars you offer (which I'm excited to try), a booster and JMC spa treatment to beat all others.
