My Mother has always been my greatest influence. She taught me how to have patience even in the most trying times. She always put those she loved before herself. She had a passion for flowers and gardening. As I get older...I find myself more and more like her. She is now looking down on me...guiding me thru life's twists and turns!!! Love you MOM!!
My mother - She is the person that understands me best. I can tell her anything and she has an empathetic "I've been there too" story for it all. Even though we're 3,000 miles apart, I can call her any time. She's made some of the most difficult decisions women today have to face out of loyalty to herself and her children. Divorce, job loss, heartbreak, school and work full-time while managing a home and 3 children with an absentee father. I'll never understand how she does it, but I'll never forget any of it.
My mother has always been my hero. When I was 18 years old, I was diagnosed with lupus- a disease the my mother also has. If I didn't have her as my role model, I would have drowned myself in self-pity and succumbed to the disease. Luckily, I have a mother who not only battles Lupus with a smile, but she has many other illnesses that she confidently battles as well. You'd never know that she was sick, as she keeps active all day long and has such a vibrancy about her. Whenever I am having a rough day or I am tempted to feel sorry for myself, I think of my amazing mother and pull myself through it all.
My hero is my mother. She was a single mom and managed to raised me and
My sisters. We got our collage degree thanks to her.

And If I was to pick 2 heros the other one would be Mata Hari and Cleopatra.
It's a very hard choice - to choose just one woman who is a hero in my life. I've had so many women who have influenced me. My mom is my hero because she is the most caring and compassionate person I know. She's kind and funny and sees life in a very different way. My grandmother is my hero because she is a strong person. She has seen many things in her life and has taught me a lot. I think LeighBeth, a friend of my mom's, might have been the biggest influence on the way I live my life. She is a beautiful person, inside and out. She's quirky and fun, and is always trying new things and enjoying each experience as it is presented to her. I love all of the women in my life - they made me who I am.
