HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

As I get closer to my due date, I’m reminded every day of the importance of parents and parenthood. I have the greatest dad, and who I am is so much a reflection of him. He's a builder who specializes in green construction--he was one of the first to use the phrase, back when no one knew what green building was. Now, as I watch my daughter (and my belly) grow, I'm so thankful for the support and partnership of my husband and co-parent, Ali. Because of Ali, I never have to make any parenting decision alone. He's always right by my side, making sure that we figure out what's best for our family together. I'm so glad that my kids have a great dad, and I know from personal experience what a difference Ali will make in their lives always.

In honor of Father’s Day, please share your favorite story about dads—your own, your children’s, or a father-figure who was influential in your life.

With love and daddy-gratitude,

Josie

When we were expecting our first son, I asked my husband what he wanted to teach him. Jim didn't talk about sports or music. He simply said "To be gentle and kind." Seven years later, every day he sets the example of how a strong man can live a gentle and kind life.

What an absolutely beautiful story, Marissa! I know that if my little bean turns out to be a boy, my husband will strive to teach him the same thing. Thank you so much for sharing your touching and soulful experience. xo, Josie

I am disappointed to see an animal lab in this pic when your products are advertised as cruelty-free. There needs to be clarification as to what you mean by cruelty free and if it is just the final product that has not been tested on animals or is the ingredients themselves are. Until then I cannot recommend your product to anyone based on this picture alone, for those who are truly seeking product that are not tested on animals. this saddens me greatly because I truly love Josie Maran cosmetics' goals.
