GREEN YOUR ROUTINE Giveaway

Happy Friday! Today I want to give you a few tips about greening your beauty routine. Even though the products you choose are important of course, there is also something to be said for getting a little DIY, too! Since my 100% Pure Argan Oil is, well, pure and just one ingredient, it's easy to incorporate into your favorite home beauty routine. There is also something to be said for what you don't use. Check out my tips. Plus:

I want to know, what are your favorite DIY recipes that incorporate my 100% Pure Argan Oil? The winner will get a free bottle!

Please comment below and include your email address. Only U.S. and Canada residents are eligible to win. The winner will be announced on Facebook on Friday, April 20.

1. Try a Homemade Brightening Masque
I love beauty products, but sometimes a simple at-home treatment does wonders for the skin. One of my favorites is a yogurt masque. Simply take a quarter cup of your favorite plain, greek yogurt and use a paintbrush to apply it to your face. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes. If it begins to dry out, drape a damp washcloth over your face to keep moisture in. Rinse, being sure to remove all the yogurt. The lactic acid in the yogurt will help dissolve dead skin and impurities, leaving your face looking bright and rejuvenated.  Be sure to moisturize with 100% Pure Argan Oil right after washing your face to nourish the skin.

2. Get Dirty
If you wash and style your hair every day, you're doing a whole lot of work and putting an unnecessary strain on the environment. Instead, keep your blowout for a few extra days by using a dry shampoo. You can simply sprinkle it on your roots and rub it in to get rid of any excess oil. You'll save water and electricity by not washing your hair or turning on your blow dryer. Over time, your scalp will get used to not being washed every day and will stop producing so much oil.

3. Say No to Synthetic
One of the most important things to me when I was creating my line was to ensure that my products contain no synthetic fragrance. Many synthetic fragrances contain phthalates which can disrupt the endocrine system and damage the reproductive system. Essential oils are such an amazing alternative. Look for all natural perfumes, or go to the health food store and pick up a few of your favorite essential oils to create your own unique blend!

I love to use Argan Oil in a brown sugar body scrub with a few drops of essential oil of my choosing....which depending on the day and time of year can range from peppermint, lavender to a citrus oil or vanilla. I also love to use Argan Oil as a leave-in treatment /styling/ smoothing product for my thick, wavy hair....either solo...sans anything else or again with an essential oil of the day! :o) Love the other ideas! Thanks for asking and posting!

Hi Josie, thanks to you and your products I have greatly reduced the number of skincare products that I use/need. Now I only use your Argan Cleansing Oil and then the Argan Oil as my face, eye, neck moisturizer. Way less products for me and I love it and it works even better than all that stuff I use to use!!!!!

I also love to saturate my hair with the Argan Oil and leave it on overnight, then shampoo out for a deep conditioner:)

I love to share great beauty tips with my passion for cooking. A self made hand scrub does the job after working in the kitchen. 1 tbsp of sea salt, a few drops of Josie's incredible Argan Oil, a dab of liquid soap. Wash hands with scrub mixture for 30 seconds. Rinse, dry your hands - especially your cuticles. Follow up with a drop of Oil again to moisturize. If the sea salt is too hard you can use table salt or sugar. Enjoy the beauty in you!

I use Argan oil as a part of a cleansing oil since my skin is so dry. I use equal parts Argan oil and Jojoba oil. :)

This tips will be a big help to all ladies out there that looking for a for a greener beauty routine. Most ladies are now aware DIY products are most effective than commercial products. Sometimes there are products that we don't that it contains harmful ingredients than can damage our skin. Much better if we use a natural solution.

I love to take mashed up mint, raw sugar and argan oil mixed together and use as a scrub for feet and I also take argan oil and fine sugar and use for my lips and sometimes I will add mint to that for that "tingle",lol!

I use JM's argan oil for anything from cuticle oil to an ends sealer on my hair, but my favorite way to incorporate the oil into my routine is to use it to heal my acne scars. I've been using it for close to 4 months now and cannot tell you how much my face has cleared of small, pock like scars. I also LOVE to dab a drop or two onto my cheeks at night and massage in. I wake up with the prettiest glow, so much so that I've been asked multiple times what highlighter or illuminator I'm wearing. Little do they know lol ;)

I would like to use a shampoo/conditioner that is healthy for me and the planet, what do you recommend? Do you have plans to create argan shampoo Josie? I love shampoo+conditioner, I find it works better.
